Does Artica ship orders placed through the expert's store?

No, we collaborate with our brand partners to ensure that they fulfill orders, just as they would for orders placed through their own website. By doing so, we're able to maintain consistency in pricing and shipping costs that our customers are accustomed to from each brand.

Does Wayward ship orders placed through the creators's store?

How do cancellation, refunds, returns and customer support work?

Prioritizing customer experience, we adhere to the cancellation and return policies of each brand we collaborate with. We understand that customers may initiate return requests, cancellations, or customer service inquiries through both the store they placed the order and by reaching out to brands directly, regardless of instructions. As such, our platform is designed to accommodate both scenarios. We strive to provide front-line order support and then seamlessly connect customers with the respective brand's customer service team for product support or returns, ensuring a smooth and satisfying experience.

How do I view/control which creators promote my products?

To manage the creators promoting your products, you can collaborate with your dedicated Customer Success representative, who will happily assist you with any adjustments needed.

What if my products' information needs to be updated?

Rest assured, our platform is designed to constantly monitor your product catalog for updates, including changes to merchandising, images, prices, promotions, or inventory. These adjustments are instantly reflected across all creator storefronts featuring your products, guaranteeing that customers on our platform always have access to the most up-to-date information about your offerings.

Where do order confirmation and other transactional emails come from?

Customers receive all transactional emails, such as order confirmation, shipping confirmation, and order delivered, directly from the Creator storefront managed by our platform. This provides customers with a centralized location to obtain the most recent information regarding their order.

How do consumers get the promotion/discount that we provide through the creator?

When customers shop at an creator's store, they'll see the original list price with a strike-through, followed by the discounted price (as if a promo code was applied). A clear label will indicate that the discount is provided by the creator (e.g. "Bumblebaby $10 discount already applied!"). This streamlined approach minimizes friction for consumers and potential conflicts.

Who's responsible for collecting and paying taxes for an order?

We take care of everything tax-related for your orders, including calculating, collecting, and remitting taxes, so you don't have to worry about it.

How do I view performance metrics?

You'll receive weekly performance metrics alongside each payout. Soon, you can conveniently access all performance data on demand by logging in to your account.

Wayward earns a small transaction fee on each purchase. Commission rates are reflected in the creator portal net of Wayward's transaction fee.

Who determines the commission rate and discount code provided between creators and brands?

At Wayward, we believe in giving creators and brands the flexibility to determine the terms of their partnership. While our team is always available to provide guidance and assistance, we leave it to the parties involved to agree on the commission rate and discount code that work best for them. As a starting point, we recommend commission rates that are comparable to those found in typical affiliate relationships.

What are the differences in unit economics between selling through your platform and selling directly to consumers through my own D2C site?

Our goal is to provide you with an additional sales channel that complements your existing D2C site, rather than competing with it. We've designed our product so that the unit-economics of a sale through our platform are equivalent to those of an affiliate-driven sale on your D2C site. This means you can expect comparable profits while tapping into a new source of high-volume sales.

How does Wayward pay brands and creators?

We make payments on a weekly basis for all orders placed during the past 7 days, using ACH.

We handle the payment process for your creator partners, disbursing funds directly to them according to the commission structure you've established with each collaborator and the sales they've generated. This streamlined approach ensures a hassle-free experience for both brands and creators.

What does being a partner look like?

What access do I need to provide for setup?

To set up, you'll need to: 1) grant integration permissions for your Shopify store (like an app), and 2) provide details about your preferred creators, commission rates, and customer discounts.

How are commission rates/discounts determined?

You have full flexibility in managing commission rates and discounts. Set them universally for all creator stores or tailor them to each creator. Apply them across your entire product catalog or customize them for individual products.

How much control do I have over the content and merchandising that an creator adds around my product on their store?

We trust our creators' ability to understand their audience and promote products effectively. Therefore, they have full control over the content and merchandising for your products. If you're unsatisfied with an creator's approach, you can choose to discontinue the partnership at any time.

How long is a contract between an creator and a brand? Can it be canceled at any time?

By default, partnerships between brands and creators are ongoing, offering the flexibility to modify terms as needed. To ensure a smooth transition for both parties, any changes or cancellations require at least 72 hours' notice, providing creators with ample time to adjust to new arrangements.

Are there exclusivities in place or can creators sell the same product type from multiple brands in the same storefront?

We're committed to fostering an environment where creators can passionately promote the products they genuinely love and feel confident recommending to their audience. As a result, we don't impose limitations on the products they showcase. To ensure your brand maintains its unique presence, you can thoughtfully select creators whose partnerships align with your brand vision and preferences.

How do you validate creators?

We prioritize creators who demonstrate genuine expertise, authority, and trustworthiness in their respective fields or niches, rather than focusing on general lifestyle influencers. While there is no foolproof method for creators validation, we currently maintain a more exclusive approach to ensure quality. As we develop a scalable and comprehensive evaluation process, we will continue to refine our creator selection.

How are customers and their data managed?

Do I get contact information for customers who purchase from your platform?

Yes, we currently provide customer contact information for those who do not opt-out of marketing emails to both the creator and brand they purchased from.

Do we as a brand have the ability to contact customers with email order reminders and other marketing collateral?

Yes, you can send marketing emails to customers who have purchased your products and haven't opted out of receiving marketing communications.
